Students must be no younger than 10 years of age. This means a 9 year old turning 10 years by Dec 31st is eligible to audition.

Yes, this may be possible if students are able to work with their current school to accommodate morning training schedules. However, it is important to consider what kind of timetable and schedule your school operates on preferably a non-rotating timetable using a semester system.

Students have the option to attend virtual school while physically being at the Halifax Central Library. Depending on each child’s academic needs an academic supervisor may be provided while studies are completed each day.

Yes. The audition fee is $40.00 for all applicants. This fee includes the workshop class and the processing of your audition application.

Students should present their authentic self in the audition. We ask all students to do this through solid colours, tights or leggings and ballet shoes. No skirts or warm-ups in class.

All applications receive their results via email, no later than 2 weeks after the audition date.

We have created specific guidelines to follow as you create your audition video. The video should be approximately 20 minutes in length and portray the student in an abbreviated class with the barre and centre exercises. Pointe is required for students who have previous experience on pointe.

Yes. Students may participate in the summer programming without auditioning for the full year program. Student levels will be selected based on experience. The August programming provides an opportunity to build strength and artistry for September studies.

The full time professional education program is through audition only. Students must audition either in-person or through video submissions. Please see our audition page for all dates, locations and details for video submission.
